Anita Briem was born in Iceland. Anita Briem is an Icelandic actor. She's best known for her role as Jane Seymour, the young girl who would become the 3rd Queen of Henry VIII on the television series The Tudors. Her acting career started in the National Theater Iceland when she was just 9 years old. Her early involvement was in numerous radio and television productions, shows as well as other performances in Iceland. At 16 Briem moved to London to take part in a production for the theater of the production Lenin in Love at the New End Theater. Briem was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she was 19-years-old. Over the next three years, she attended the school and graduated with a drama degree and it was awarded the John Barton Prize for Scenic Fight. The actor performed in a number of plays at RADA which included The Cherry Garden, by Anton Chekhov, and Bernarda Alba's house from Federico Garcia Lorca.
